Inspired by Sacai founder Chitose Abe's frequent visits to Astier de Villatte’s Paris boutique, the partnership began in 2017 as a long-term artistic project rather than a simple capsule collection. Each year, a unique piece is introduced, starting with a two-handled mug in 2017.

Abe’s exploration of unconventional shapes at Sacai inspires reimagined ceramics by Astier de Villatte.
